Buxton Fringe volunteers have started turning the town orange for the Festival Fringe (July 3-21).

The Fringe’s orange floral Hot Spots are gradually spreading across the town. Originally the brainchild of much-missed vice chair Viv Marriott, the colourful flowers are designed to help brighten up Buxton over the summer.

SANTA DOING REHAB IN BUXTON THIS JULY

Santa will be Underground at Spring Gardens but his out-of-season Grotto is not for the littl’uns. The tag line for this comedy is ‘unseasonable, unreasonable & unsuitable for brats’. Written and performed by Terry Victor for Notional Theatre, our Santa is a troubled mix of stand-up and meltdown. There will be drag, rap and outrageous name-dropping.
