Business Support Agencies 

Creative Industries Federation : the national organisation for the UK's creative industries, cultural education and arts.

East Midlands Chamber of Commerce: information includes information about grants that are available to business.

Creative & Cultural Skills : the Sector Skills Council for Craft, Cultural Heritage, Design, Literature, Music, Performing and Visual Arts. Creative & Cultural Skills bridges the gap between industry, education and the government, to give employers a real influence over education and skills in the UK.

D2N2 : the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) for Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Local Enterprise Partnerships are locally-owned partnerships between local authorities and businesses. They play a central role in deciding local economic priorities and undertaking activities to drive economic growth and create local jobs. D2N2 is one of the largest LEPs in England covering an area with a population of over 2 million people and economic output of over £36 billion. One of the eight key sectors prioritised by D2N2 is the creative and digital industries. Derbyshire Observatory : The Derbyshire Observatory provides lots of information about the local economy.

Designer Forum : Set up by East Midlands Textile Association (EMTEX) to support fashion and design business. The programme provides business and design support to designers, freelancers, companies, undergraduate and graduates in the East Midlands fashion and textiles industries.

East Midlands Incubation Network (EMIN) : a network helping entrepreneurs and innovators develop successful new businesses. 

Peak Directions : Peak Directions contains a vast amount of information and links to services that support enterprise amongst businesses and communities within the Peak District

Princes Trust : Offers support for people between 18 and 30, including a low interest loan of up to 4,000, marketing support and specialist advice, ongoing advice from a volunteer business mentor, networking opportunities and promotional opportunities.

Arts Council England : is the national development agency for the arts in England, distributing public money from Government and the National Lottery.
