CREATIVES IN PLACE (CiP)
Freelance Roles
2 x Separate opportunities – Erewash and Wirksworth
Arts Derbyshire is seeking two separate individuals to undertake exciting new roles as Creatives in Place (CiP).
CiPs will work alongside our Creative Health team and act as a curious, creative bridging/connecting mechanism between the GP/Primary Care Practice team, and its community. They will push frontline collaborative, cross-sector and cross-disciplinary working, in order to develop and expand the spectrum of approaches available (medical, non-medical, social, creative) for developing neighbourhood wellbeing and flourishing.
This, alongside our other creative health programmes (including ‘Non-Prescriptive’ our living newspaper), aims to break new ground in the way that culture, and professionals involved in health and social prescribing work together to improve the offer for Derbyshire people and communities.
This is a freelance role initially for 8 months, but with a view to extend subject to review and funding.
We are looking for two artist(s) or creative practitioner(s) who have a dynamic, thoughtful and creative approach – active listeners who are inquisitive and proactive. They will be innovative, imaginative, agile thinkers and will offer fresh perspectives. The CiP pilot is intended as an iterative, collaborative learning and development process and the team will think critically, together, about the insights and ideas as they emerge.
The ideal candidates will have strong backgrounds in arts production, project management and collaborative, cross sector / cross community working (though socially engaged practice). Knowledge and experience in creative health work is desirable.
More information about the role and how to apply can be found here.
