Join Our Needle Felt Cat Workshop

Fancy needle felting a fabulously quirky cat in bright colours, bold patterns, and full of personality? If so, your tutor, Angela, is looking forward to welcoming you and sharing a fun, relaxed day to create your very own needle felt cat, where you’ll bring a tall, slender and slightly comical cat to life, in any colour you choose!

This is not about making a realistic cat … it’s about creating a funky character full of charm. Think quirky, playful and totally unique to you.

What You’ll Do

Start with a pre-made core body shape and tail (so you can jump straight into the fun part!)
Build your needle felt cat’s head, legs and tail using core wool
Add coloured wool in your chosen shade (pink, blue, black, rainbow… anything goes!)
Create funky patterns like flowers, dots, stripes, shapes and swirls
Needle felt facial features to give your cat real personality

You Will Explore

How to shape wool using a felting needle
Layering wool to create bold colour effects
Adding surface decoration and pattern
Simple techniques for creating faces and expressions
How to safely work with a felting needle (sharp but easy once you know how!)

If you find the slender needle tricky to hold, we also have wooden needle handles available for extra comfort and grip.

No experience is needed. If you can use your hands to shape and decorate, you can needle felt!

Angela will guide you through each step of your needle felt cat, offering gentle support and ideas while still giving you plenty of space to create your own style.

Workshop details

• Time: 10am – 4:00pm
• Arrival: From 9:30am for a warm welcome and a cuppa
• Group size: Limited to 8 people for a friendly, supportive atmosphere
• Date: Friday 19th June

Cost

£54 + £1.08 card fee.
This includes all the materials needed to create your needle felt cat and refreshments during the day (excluding lunch).
