ID DERBY CIC Celebrates Grand Opening of New Creative Wellbeing Centre in Derby
Derby, UK – 22nd September 2025 at 12:30 – ID Derby CIC, a leading provider of arts therapy and creative wellbeing services, is proud to announce the official opening of its new, purpose-built centre in the heart of Derby. The grand opening will take place on Monday, 22nd September and will be Opened by Baddy Shanker , and will mark an exciting new chapter in the company’s mission to support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of both adults and children through creativity and expression.
The new facility is designed to be a warm, inclusive, and inspiring space where individuals of all ages can explore arts therapy, creative workshops, and community wellbeing programmes. With dedicated therapy rooms, group spaces, and an open studio environment, the centre will host a wide range of services, including one-to-one arts therapy Art ,Drama, Music, Dance/Movement and family sessions, and group workshops focused on mental health, self-expression, and resilience.
“This new space allows us to reach more people and provide a safe, welcoming environment for healing, growth, and creativity,” said Andra Kenny, Founder Director of ID Derby. “Whether it’s a child navigating big emotions or an adult seeking support through life’s challenges, our services are here to make a lasting difference.”
The grand opening will feature an open house from 12:30 pm to 4pm, with guided tours, live art demonstrations, and opportunities to meet the team and learn more about the therapy and creative wellbeing programmes on offer. Families, professionals, and members of the public are warmly invited to attend.

About ID Derby CIC :
ID Derby CIC is a Derby-based organization specializing in arts therapy and creative wellbeing services for children, young people, and adults. We possess a comprehensive understanding of the needs of both neurodiverse and non-neurodiverse individuals. Established one year ago, following the closure of several arts-based companies in Derby, our organization was founded to fulfil a vital community need, with programs led by qualified arts therapists and dedicated volunteers.
Through Junction 16, we offer the only therapeutic alternative provisions for individuals requiring specialized support. Our services support children facing emotional challenges and difficulties attending school.
ID Derby offers a vibrant Therapeutic Arts Holiday Club as part of the HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) programme in collaboration with Derby City Council. It’s designed especially for children and young people who benefit from a more creative and sensory approach to wellbeing
We collaborate closely with stakeholders to provide training placements for students pursuing careers in wellbeing and therapy. Our goal is to promote emotional wellbeing, foster resilience, and empower individuals to express themselves, It’s our Human right to be Creative not a luxury .
