What's on

Julia Waldron and Lee Bardsley at Libby’s Walled Garden Workshop, Chesterfield

Event details

Julia Waldron’s shows have a way of making you feel at home. Whether she’s singing her own deeply honest songs or honouring her musical heroes, she brings people together through music. Her voice goes from gentle to sassy, her songwriting is heartfelt and unafraid, and her live performances are full of joy, intimacy, and that spark of something special.

Based in Sheffield, Julia performs solo and with her band The Orchestrators, curates the touring show Legends of Folk, Roots & Americana, and continues to write and record her own original material.

Julia also shares her passion for music through community projects. She proudly runs the music programme for the local learning disability Charity Under The Stars, and runs freelance singing and songwriting workshops. A warm and witty performer with a big heart and a fierce love for the power of song, Julia Waldron is a true force for good on the music scene.

Lee Bardsley is from over the hill in Hadfield. He is a slightly hopeless dreamer who crafts beautiful songs woven together with threads of wistful, harmonious melodies. His songs are born in the everyday but transcend to the sublime with his gloriously heartfelt voice. Reflective themes of family, longing, and adventure feature highly, and are painted with rich and complimentary melodic lines. He’s become well known for his performances as a duo with violinist India Shan, but tonight he’ll be performing solo as one half of a double-headliner with Julia Waldron. Lee also spends time recording and has a few EP’s out (with more to come) – they have been received joyously in his locality and further afield. For a taste of Lee’s music, head on over to:
