Join Stevie Davies for this ‘Taster Tile’ craft workshop using a variety of glass elements with a focus on your first go playing with glass. A gentle introduction to make a colourful tile or hanging.
A request for a little “have a go” session means I get to offer this fun session, ideal for anyone who just wants a gentle introduction to fused glass. Put together your own 10x10cm design using precut glass colours to make your own coaster or hanging.
Explore a little in this short fused glass taster workshop and learn a little about how the kiln firing to 800 degrees c changes the raw/pointy pieces of glass to a have smooth, shiny finish. Simply complete your design during the session and leave it at the studio for me to fire, finish and clean up for you. We will make arrangements to pick up a few weeks later or I can post your finished piece at cost.
I will talk through all the Health & Safety in the session but I want you to know now, you will be handling pre-cut glass pieces, they have pointy ends but with the right handling, they won’t hurt you. Recommended for ages 10 and above, all under 16s to be accompanied by a paying adult.
