Every Tuesday 17th March – 5th May – 5:30-8:30pm (Term time only – no classes over easter half term)
The course is an introduction to basic craft techniques that can be used to upcycle everyday household materials.
Over the course we look at :-
Origami flowers, Iris folding, Decoupage, Glass painting, Macrame, Simple sewing & Aluminium embossing
In your final week you will be asked to complete a student led project to upcycle a material of your choice.
Along the way you will also complete a small portfolio of theory work looking at materials, health and safety in crafting, colour theory and background research.
If you enjoy the course and wish to extend your studies you can progress onto the full NCFE level 1 in creative craft accredited qualification, this is also free if you are working and earn less than £25,750 or are in receipt of certain benefits (UC/ESA/JSA/CA).
