What's on

Body, Creativity and Regeneration

Event details

This free workshop is open to all ages, abilities and backgrounds. It offers an environment for shared creative experiences, working solo, in partners and within a larger group, to awaken imagination and develop a deeper connection to the experiences of the body and to our environment. You will be offered resources and a safe creative space. This workshop is for people who are curious about the benefits of movement, writing and art making as an integrative arts approach to wellbeing.

The theme of the workshop is ‘bone’. To “feel something in our bones” describes the sensation of something fundamental and deeply known. Our bones form an intricate living landscape within us. All other systems of the body depend on its hidden qualities and presence. This workshop provides time to be curious, to go beneath the surface of our bodies and deepen our sensing and understanding of the nature of bone, of form, of boundary, and of support.

The workshop will take place at The Cathedral Centre, 18-19 Iron Gate, Derby, DE1 3GP on Friday 25th February 2022 at 1:00pm and lasts for 3 hours.
