Reel Histories – A Black History Month Film Series

This Black History Month you have the opportunity to meet two pioneering women who have paved and continue to pave the way for Black women within the arts.
BAFTA award-winning actress and director Cathy Tyson will be leading an in conversation at the Official Black History Month 2025 Launch on Wednesday 1 October following a screening of three short films, including her directorial debut and award-winning film Lilian. Pauline Black, lead singer of 2-Tone band The Selecter, will close Serendipity’s Reel Histories film programme with an In Conversation exploring her career, identity, activism and creative legacy on Wednesday 29 October, following a feature documentary telling her extraordinary life story.
