Our annual Maker Faire returns this year with a new name – Assemble – Derby’s very own Festival of Making. And what better place to hold a Festival championing makers and their work than at the new Museum of Making, located at Derby Silk Mill on what is widely regarded as the site of the world’s first factory?
We’re inviting makers from across the country, with projects of all shapes and sizes, to showcase their work at Assemble in October, and to share their passion and skills, talk about their processes and encourage others to have a go at making themselves.
Whether you’re a tinkerer or hobbyist, inventor or engineer, student or veteran – if you have a project you’re working on, or would like to share your knowledge of making with others, we’d love to hear from you! #AssembleDerby21
Applications are welcome from makers of all ages – makers under the age of 16 will need permission and support from an adult.
Please contact Dan Webber at dan@derbymuseums.org for more information about how to get involved.
We’ll be publishing more information about Assemble here soon.
