Grant Funding: The Help Musicians Fast Track Award Grants Supports Musicians Which Need Funding NOW To Seize Opportunities!

Sometimes, opportunities arise that can have a lasting, positive impact on your career as a musician.

Whether it’s a short course, investing in new software, or taking opportunities to record, release or perform, this Fast Track Award is here to help you seize those opportunities.

The Award is an investment to help you grow or sustain your income from music, or to help you take part in something that could enhance your career.

What and who is this support for?

This financial support can go towards anything from courses, networking opportunities and equipment to costs associated with recording, releasing and performing. See a full list of what you can and can’t spend the grant on here.

The Help Musicians panel consider each application and review them for opportunity, need and impact. They are particularly looking for applications that show that the support will help you grow your music career and income in the long term.

A full list of who and what they can support, as well as tips on what they’re looking for in an application, can be found in the application guidance.

Who can apply?

  • Working musicians who have made at least 40% of their income from music over the past two years. Musicians with a long-term health condition and/or disability that impacts their ability to work as a musician will just need to show some income from music within the past 2 years.
  • Musicians aged 18 or over, living in the UK, with the right to live and work in the UK and with a UK bank account
  • Not have more than £10,000 savings or access to other capital that could fund your planned activity

Full eligibility criteria can be found here. They strongly recommend you read these before making an application.

Beyond this, you must be able to deliver the activities they’re supporting within 12 months of receiving the money. You must also have control over one or more aspects of your career, i.e., self-managing, self-releasing or self-producing.

To help you apply, check our their eligibility and guidance, FAQ’s and application tips below. Reading these before you apply will give you the best chance of success.
