Derbyshire Makes is pleased to announce the launch of the Create Growth Photography Bursary, to help build brand and product promotion of Derbyshire’s growing Designer-Maker sector. The bursary is available for Derby and Derbyshire Designer-Maker businesses and provides funding, up to a maximum of £800*, towards the cost of professional product photography fees. Businesses must have been trading more than one year and have an established product range.
This is the second year of the scheme, which in 2025 successfully supported 14 Designer-Maker businesses and 7 photography businesses.

Deadline for applications : February 4th, 2026
Businesses informed of decision : By February 12th 2026

*If the chosen photographer’s fee exceeds £800, any additional costs will need to be discussed between both parties, and the designer-maker will be responsible for covering those additional costs.
