Aims and objectives:
The Sylvia Waddilove Foundation UK (“Foundation”) was set up to continue the philanthropy of Sylvia Waddilove after her death in 2001. The Foundation provides grants to charities and some not-for-profit organisations. As a general rule, the Foundation provides grants to fund or part-fund the capital costs (defined below) of a new project. Applications involving innovative projects are particularly welcome.
Funding Criteria:

The Foundation typically gives grants of £1,000-£5,000.
You may only submit an application to the Foundation using its online application form. The Foundation will announce when it is accepting applications, as indicated at the top of this webpage. Applications received at any other time or in any other format will be not be considered.
Please apply via their application page. Please note that incomplete applications will not be accepted.
The trustees meet four times a year and aim to consider 30 applications at each trustee meeting. If a high volume of applications is received, the Foundation reserves the right to close the application window early. They therefore recommend applying early to avoid disappointment.
All applicants will be contacted following the trustee meeting to indicate the outcome of the application. Please note that feedback relating to an application cannot be given. Successful applicants will be asked to sign a grant letter or grant agreement and provide their bank details. Payment of the grant will be processed following receipt of these documents to the satisfaction of the Foundation.
It is a requirement of a grant that the recipient provides a written report 12 months after receiving the grant using the Foundations Reporting and Monitoring form.
Applicants may re-apply to the Foundation after two years.
