What's on
Come and take part in Stitching Ashbourne! Unwind with a drink in hand and get creative at our special House of Beer Sip & Stitch Workshop.
Hosted in the gorgeous, cosy surroundings of House of Beer — Ashbourne’s welcoming bottle shop and tap room with German, Belgian and local beers on offer (plus ciders, gin and wine) — this special evening workshop is part of the town-wide Stitching Ashbourne project.
Together, we’ll be creating appliqué and embroidered squares that will join over 100 others in a stunning community textile artwork celebrating the places, people, and stories of Ashbourne.
No experience is needed, and all materials are provided — just bring your ideas, enjoy the atmosphere, and add your stitch to Ashbourne’s story.
Stitching Ashbourne is about community, creativity, and connection. Together, we will create a large-scale embroidered textile work that celebrates the built and cultural heritage of Ashbourne.
Surrounding a centrepiece depicting some of Ashbourne’s most iconic buildings will be over 100 hand-stitched squares, each one telling a unique story, memory, or celebration of what Ashbourne means to its people. Whether you’re 6 or 95, this is your chance to stitch your story into Ashbourne’s history.
Come along, bring a friend, and be part of something truly special. Together, we’ll stitch Ashbourne’s story.
This and all Stitching Ashbourne workshops are free to attend. Tickets available here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/stitching-ashbourne-workshop-sip-stitch-tickets-1703953413529
