Linoprinting Day @ Our Crafty Place

Event details

The Workshop

As with all our classes this inspiring full-day workshop has been developed to provide a quiet day of creativity and gentle tuition. Marcus says “I will equip you with the tools and skills to produce a variety of beautiful handmade Lino prints. No carving experience or previous knowledge of linocut printing is required – these workshops are designed for everyone of all levels or abilities!

The class starts with a breakdown of the carving tools and materials used to produce linocut designs and then you will be offered a piece of either soft (pink) or hard (grey) lino to work with during the day, depending on your preference.

I will be on hand to offer inspirational designs for you to create or, if you have your own design ideas then bring them along and I will suggest and advise on the best approach to carving your piece. Once your linoplate has been carved, you will then ink your plate and be ready to print on a print press! Resulting in a variety of unique prints made by you.

At the end of the session, you’ll be able to proudly take home your lino prints alongside the original carved lino plate for you to use time and time again.”
