Indian Block Printing Christmas Tree Decoration @ Our Crafty Place

The Workshop

Your tutor, Suzanne, is looking forward to meeting you and says: “Get into the festive spirit with this fun and modern twist on traditional Indian block printing! In this hands-on session, you’ll use authentic hand-carved Indian wooden blocks to print a beautiful Christmas tree decoration and then take it to the next level with beads, dimensional paints, and plenty of sparkle.

What You’ll Do:

  • Learn the basics of Indian block printing
  • Create your own printed tree decoration
  • Embellish it with glittering beads and 3D paints
  • Take home a unique piece ready to shine on your tree!

A perfect seasonal craft activity for beginners, crafters, or anyone who loves a handmade Christmas.  Also a great way to meet up for Christmas Get-Together.”

 

What to bring?

Anticipation to enjoy the whole experience!

Specific to this workshop:

  • Feel free to bring your Christmas glasses, hats, antlers – the more daft the better!
  • Reading glasses if you need them.

 

What skills are needed?

No experience is necessary, just bring your festive cheer and creativity! Have fun choosing your block, then use a span grip to hold the block to dip in ink and apply to your felt. Dependant on what you want to achieve you may then be using a paint brush and / or a sewing needle to add your gorgeous ribbon and with threads to adorn with beads.

 

What are the timings?

This is a festive treat of an afternoon running from 2pm to 4pm.

Our purple front door will be open from 1.30pm so we can welcome you in, you can get to meet Suzanne and your fellow crafters and grab a drink before you start.

How many places are available?

To ensure the quality of your personal experience, the group size is limited to 12 bring your friends and have a party!.

What is the cost?

£22.50 + 60p card fee. This includes all the materials needed to make your beautiful decoration, mulled wine (other non-alcoholic drinks will be available) and mince pies!

We want you to go home with a spring in your step and feel really good about what you have achieved. To make sure we can thoroughly look after you during your workshop please fill in your booking form with all the things that will help, be it your favourite milk, or any extra support you may require. Please also let us know of allergies that we may need to highlight to your fellow crafters e.g. nuts, perfume. Many thanks.
