Festive Pottery Workshop with Jo Bunbury

Event details

Friday 22nd November 13:30 – 17:30

In this workshop you will explore a variety of clay techniques to produce individually designed pieces of work guided by Jo. The workshop is suitable for beginners or if you have some experience of working with clay.

Your source of inspiration will be nature and the festive season, and your pieces of work can be functional or decorative. Pine- cones, ferns, berries, seed pods and bird life will all inform your clay. Jo will provide images and primary source material for you to work from.

You will explore pinch and coil techniques and impressed, carved and raised surface decoration.

Your completed ceramic work will be left at the gallery and then taken away to be fired and glazed. You will have a range of colour choices reflective of the season for you to choose from. We will contact you when your pieces are ready to collect from the gallery. This will take up to three weeks for the drying and firing processes to be completed.

You may want to bring an apron, all other materials will be provided.

Tea/ coffee and biscuits provided.
