Boro/Sashiko Kinchaku (Drawstring ) Bag @ Our Crafty Place

Event details

The Workshop

Your tutor, Julie, is looking forward to meeting you and says: “In the workshop you will be stitching onto fabric with boro and sashiko stitching to make this beautiful Japanese inspired drawstring bag. Lining and a drawstring braid will be provided to complete the bag. The bag is completely hand stitched. (for the purpose of time, the top and bottom components will be already attached, and the inner lining will be prepared ready for you to insert).

During the session you will be guided through the stitch techniques and sashiko templates will be available if desired to guide your pattern. Heat erasable pens will be available to copy patterns onto the fabric.

At the end of the day, you will take away a beautiful lined Japanese inspired drawstring bag.” Somewhere to keep your treasures …
