Do you want free, professional feedback on your work-in-progress?
If you’re a low-income writer looking for guidance on your writing, then apply for the Free Reads Scheme before 5th December 2025. The Literary Consultancy will match each successful applicant with one of their 80+ expert editors, who will then read their work and provide a report with vital advice, suggestions and tips.
New for this year, TLC are also offering a Submission Package Review, as well as their standard Free Read! Successful applicants will have their submission package (for agents) appraised and critiqued with invaluable feedback.
To apply for a standard free read, please submit 150 lines of poetry, 15,000 words of your novel (plus one-page synopsis) or up to 5,000 words of short stories (min. 2,000 words).
To apply for a submission package review, please enter a ‘Dear Agent’ cover letter, a one-page synopsis and the opening 8,000 words.
