Art and Nature Workshops for Domestic Abuse Thrivers Copy

Event details

Survivors of Domestic Abuse are invited to take part in a research project with artist Christine Thomas.

Are you a survivor of domestic abuse or coercive control and would like make art that reflects your experience? Being in nature and creating art is a great way to improve your wellbeing and no experience of either is necessary for this project.

This would be an opportunity to explore using a wide range of art materials, create an expression of your lived experience and be part of a supportive community in a safe space.

Christine is an artist and researcher at the University of Derby and is offering free workshops at a nature based location in Derby. Each workshop will explore themes around surviving and thriving for anyone who has successfully escaped an abusive home life. Each workshop will contribute to a written thesis and all contributions will be anonymised.

For more information or to discuss the project and how you can be involved please contact cthomas27@unimail.derby.ac.uk

*This is a series of workshops for anyone who is now in a safe space to express their experience through art.
