A friendly and relaxed writing workshop for poetry and prose lovers where participants are guided to create an immersive sensory safe-space they can return to in times of overwhelm.

Charlotte Faulconbridge is an autistic and chronically ill prize-winning poet, no.1 Amazon bestselling author and TEDx speaker. She is the reigning Cheltenham Poetry Festival slam champion and has had her work featured across the BBC. Her first book, which tells the story of her life on the autistic spectrum, has sold in over 20 countries, on every continent. Her debut poetry collection has been a successful hit on her UK tour and received critical acclaim from screenwriter and BAFTA Fellow Andrew Davies.
She is an ambassador for the mental health charity MIND, was nominated for a BBC Make A Difference Award in 2024, and in 2025 was named one of the Big Issue’s top 100 changemakers of the year.
‘Words Unwound’ is Beyond the Spectrum’s 2026 online festival, a week-long series of workshops and talks for writers who want to slow down, reflect, and create in their authentic voice.
The festival runs from Monday 23rd March until Saturday 28th March 2026.
