Paul Mason at the Big BIF Weekend

Event details

How to Stop Fascism

Far-right attacks on the US Capitol building. Extremists elected in European governments. Social media harassment on all sides. Award-winning journalist Paul Mason wants to know how we got here. By exploring the history of the original fascist movement, and its rise to prominence in the 1920 and 30s, Mason hopes to find the answers to the current rise in far-right nationalism – and to explore how the COVID-19 crisis might affect social, economic and geopolitical insecurities that often lead to extremism.

This event is taking place at the Pavilion Arts Centre in Buxton, as part of Buxton International Festival’s Big BIF Weekend, with a stellar line up of book, music and jazz events to enjoy on the 15 and 16 October.
