What's on
Spend a day in the studio getting creative making stunning silver spoons.
On this one day course you will receive step-by-step tuition in classes of no more than 2 people in a friendly, relaxed environment. I will teach you how to create a spoon bowl and handle, and how to join them together. I will also help you to develop a unique design for your spoon, which you can personalise by adding stamped letters and textures with hammers and the rolling mill.
You will learn traditional silversmithing skills, including how to cut, file, form, solder and polish silver to create your silver spoon.
You will make and finish at least one silver spoon on this course.
This silversmithing workshop is held in my cosy studio within the historic Sharpe’s Pottery Museum in Swadlincote in South Derbyshire. (The postcode is DE11 9DG). Find out more and book your place via my website.
Workshop times: 10am to 4pm.
