What's on

Harp & a Monkey

Event details

Award-winning song and storytelling trio Harp & a Monkey are old favourites of ours and were long overdue a return – so here they are!

The trio specialise in poignant, uplifting and melodic short stories (original and traditional) about everyday life, love and remembrance: the extraordinary ordinary.
The Greater Manchester outfit’s work has been described as “bold and brilliant” by The Observer, “fantastic” and “fascinating” by Mark Radcliffe on BBC Radio 2, “inventive” by Mojo magazine, “excellent” by The Guardian, and “unique” by folk legend Mike Harding.

With four acclaimed albums under their belts, the multi-instrumentalists (expect banjos, harps, accordions, guitars, violas, glockenspiels and more) are regulars on the national concert circuit and guarantee poignancy, humour and great audience rapport at their live shows.

Including international award-winning artists, animators and storytellers in their ranks, this versatile collective has been commissioned to undertake bespoke songwriting, soundtrack, film and art projects for the likes of Sky Arts and the Department of Sport, Media and Culture.

Their shows, which are suitable for all ages, are really not to be missed.

Doors and bar open 7pm
Tickets £14 available from Spring Bank Arts Mon to Fri 9:30-12:30 on 01663 308202, on the door and online.
