Exhibition by Ann Bates at Buxton Museum and Art Gallery
Saturday 23 July to Saturday 8 October 2022.
Through design, process and materials, Echoes illustrates a connection between the Neolithic and the 21st century, revealing how ancient practices of honouring the dead can still be relevant today.
Often a difficult subject to address, this exhibition aims to evoke thought, discussion and a greater awareness.
Ann Bates is a Derbyshire based ceramic artist, specialising in hand-built funerary urns.
