Ambergate Wireworks – The Part They Played – First Friday at Derby Museum of Making

Ambergate Wireworks – The Part They Played, an R & D project funded by Arts Council England and the National Lottery, will be exhibiting the finished immersive wire sculptural installation/soundscape and film, that explores how the wire manufactured at Ambergate Wireworks was used in engineering, farming, telecommunications and warfare. The soundscape and film include personal memories from ex-workers and families.  There will also be wire sculpting activities for anyone to have a go at exploring wire.
