Friday 10th FEB ( 5:30pm – 8pm) at Artcore Gallery – 8 Albert Street, Osnabruck Square, Derby DE1 2DS
We had an absolute ball at the Valentine’s edition of SwitchOFF: Love is in the Air! The café and shop were transformed into a beautiful and romantic space with the addition of a Valentine’s photo booth in one of our artist studios. We invited all for a sit-down three-course dinner with live entertainment and card-making activity. It was great to see families, children, friends and even our board members having a go at making cards for their loved ones. Our café served up a fantastic vegetarian feast, with hot crispy spring rolls, a side of feta cheese salad and sweet chilli dipping sauce for starters, a family favourite of Shahi Paneer made with a delicious blend of aromatic spices, served with fluffy rice and soft herby naan for main and top it all off we had the option of creamy mango ice cream or traditional malai kulfi! Before the SwitchOFF, we had put out a heart crafting completion: Let your heart out. We encouraged all to decorate a heart made from any medium, paper, card, clay, a painting, sketch or heart drawing. We announce the winner, Helen at our SwitchOFF event. Helen created a beautiful heart, made of recycled material. It had a real focus on sustainability which resonates with the values of Artcore very much. We also would like to thank Karolina, who set the ambience of the night with her incredible singing. Thank you to all the staff who helped out and came together so we could put on an amazing evening for everyone! |
