ARTS COUNCIL CAPITAL INVESTMENT PROGRAMME
Arts Council England has launched its latest Capital Investment Programme. The aim of the programme is to support cultural organisations to adjust buildings and equipment so that they can operate safely post-pandemic and improve access, seize on technological opportunities, and reduce environmental impact.
You can apply for between £100,000 and £750,000. Applications open on Tuesday 6 June and close on Monday 3 July.

Applications for the Fantastic for Families Awards 2023 are now open!

The Fantastic for Families Awards celebrate the wealth of outstanding creative provision for families of all ages across the UK.

Each year, the Awards recognise and champion the achievements of family arts providers and the ways their work enriches the lives of families and older people. From artists and producers to venues and touring companies, they want to hear from everyone involved in creating and delivering family arts across the UK!

The Awards will be given across three categories:
– Best Family Arts Activity
– Best Age-Friendly Outreach
– Audience Impact and Innovation Award

Apply by 6pm on Thursday 27 July 2023 for your chance to win a Fantastic for Families Award.

£25,874 per annum pro rata. Fully remote 1,274 annualised hours salaried contract, equating to a notional average of 24.5 hrs/week (0.7FTE)

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in arts project delivery – an individual with excellent creative and problem-solving skills with a ‘self-starter’ attitude and a passion for equality in the arts and culture.

Let’s MAKE at Derby Museum

Derby Museum’s favourite festive celebration of all things unique and handmade is back at the Museum and Art Gallery and the Museum of Making shops this year. They’re looking for Midlands-based Artists and Makers to take part in Let’s MAKE Christmas 2023; a seasonal celebration of contemporary craft produced in the region. All types of work will be considered.

This year’s Let’s MAKE Christmas will take place from 10 November – Sunday 24 December.

STUDIO FOR RENT – CREATIVE MELBOURNE
From the 1st July, Creative Melbourne has a studio space to rent. Based within the Melbourne Gallery it’s a space for artists and creatives to meet, work and exhibit. There are three studios and they are about to launch their ‘Spaces to Create’ hot-desking for creatives supported by South Derbyshire DC.

ARTIST CALL OUT – TAPTON LOCK FESTIVAL

Junction Arts are looking for an artist with experience of working with recycled materials or working with health & wellbeing themes, to deliver a community commission for this year’s Tapton Lock Festival.

The fee for the commission is £1500, to include materials, although depending on the outcome there may be some negotiation on material costs. The commission will involve roughly six days work, to cover the delivery of four x two hour weekly sessions with the young people, attending the Tapton Lock Festival on the 9th & 10th September and two planning days.
