Derbyshire-born projection artists Illuminos are proud to present Shine A Light, four days of breathtaking light and sound displays at Chatsworth House and Cromford Mills.
Inspired by Mark Gwynne Jones‘ Voices From The Peak, Shine A Light celebrates Derbyshire’s history and heritage in a wonderfully unique way. These outdoor events combine music, visuals, and sound.
Those who visit Chatsworth House will be met with an illuminated path through the Chatsworth Garden to the South Lawn, and a large-scale moving animation will be projected onto the South Front of Chatsworth House. The Chatsworth House display is on Friday 22 October and Saturday 23 October from 6.30 pm.
Cromford Mills‘ Grade I listed mill complex provides the backdrop for their display, and visitors will see the historic buildings, watercourse, and mill yard beautifully lit. The Cromford Mills display is on Thursday 28 October and Friday 29 October from 6.30pm.
Visitors will be able to see the projection shows every 20 minutes throughout the evening.
Tickets are £8 for adults, and £6 for children (4-16 inclusive). Entrance is free for 3 and under.
Saturday 18 September and Sunday 19 September, the Derbyshire Woodland Festival is returning to Elvaston Castle Country Park.
Performers and demonstrators showcase their skills, and the whole family can enjoy outdoor theatre, traditional fairground rides, and storytelling while surrounded by the wonder of the woodlands.
Dogs are welcome, but please keep them on leads.
Special event parking charges are in effect throughout the weekend. These fees are as follows (please note, payment is cash only):
These payments give visitors access to both the festival, and the country park itself on both of those dates.
