New Plein Air Competition Coming to Derbyshire

Congregate at Little Longstone Chapel on Sunday 21st April for the first plein air art competition.

Open to all ages and levels of experience, there are separate categories for professionals, amateurs, and children, with prizes for the winners of each category generously donated by local businesses. The three overall winning artworks will then be exhibited in the popular Hobbs Cafe for one month.

Artists are invited to come along with their art materials and register between 10am and 1pm at the event to create a work of art inspired by the unique chapel. Entry is £5 per artist. Completed works must be handed in by 4pm for judging, and prizes will be announced at 5pm. Refreshments will be available.

Nestled in a beautiful part of the Peak District, you’re sure to be inspired.

The money raised will contribute to our roof repair fund, helping to preserve the historic building for future generations.

They look forward to seeing you there.
