Ilkon Art Gallery new exhibition titled ‘If Life Was Still’ opens 22nd Feb

Opening on the 22nd February 2024 at Ilkon Gallery they have an exhibition titled ‘If Life Was Still’. This exhibition will bring 8 contemporary artists together in the gallery, from sculpture, to installation to paintings, they will have work to interest everyone. The show combine different interpretations of capturing the everyday like whether that be through nostalgic childhood imagery or colourful street photography.

The show is set to have the audience think about the day to day life and how this is reflected and experienced. We have work from:

 

  • Nathan Beaton, a figurative painter looking at male form,
  • Emily Beales, who creates small scale sculptures set to be found throughout an exhibition space,
  • Bronte Teal, an installation artist and print maker who works with the space to create dynamic installations,
  • Sophie Fletcher, a figurative painter capturing moments featuring in day to day life,
  • Millie E Ashworth, a street photographer who captures everyday scenes,
  • Isobel Brigham, an artist who creates nostalgic figurative paintings of her childhood,
  • Hannah Edwards, who uses everyday materials to capture the human form in an interesting sculptural way,
  • Chloe Jean Brown, paints stunning botanicals with a unique colour palette

The show ends on the 16th March 2024.
