Glossop Creates… Networks, Events and Opportunities🌄

August Creative Network Meeting

You’re invited to our next Creative Network Meeting

  • Wednesday the 30th of August
  • From 7pm
  • At the Partington Theatre.

We’re bringing creatives of all disciplines, from right across Glossopdale, together again this August!

The meeting will be a chance for you, the creative community to share your work, projects and ideas with the network in a show and tell format. The evening will begin with a short presentation from the Glossop Creates team, announcing our upcoming partnership and exciting initiatives with Reubens Retreat, a wonderful charity doing incredibly important work right from the heart of Glossop. In partnership with Reuben’s Retreat, we are looking to develop free studio spaces for local artists and are looking for expressions of interest from the creative community… We’re expecting a lot!

Book your free ticket!

The Glossop Living Room will also be making an appearance for the evening, offering creatives a chance to submit to our local, digital archive. The Living Room is your space to share ideas, memories, celebrate our community and shape Glossop’s story, together.

Many thanks to Gaz Edwards of Partington Theatre Bar and Cask & Kitchen for his team’s generous and continued support for the Glossop Creates campaign.

Having such eclectic and quality venues as a home for our Networks provides Glossop Creates and our community with a platform for sharing ideas and supporting each other during a difficult time for many. This partnership shows the importance of collaboration in a town full of creatives where accessible and affordable space is at a premium.

Have you discovered the
Glossop Hop yet?

This Network Meeting is your chance to feedback on Glossop’s brand new Ale Trail, and share your ideas for how else we can promote Glossop as the perfect destination for a grand day (or night) out!

Be the voice of Glossop Creates!

Our 2023 poster campaign – which sees large scale, impactful posters placed in key locations in Glossop, Manchester and the surrounding areas – focuses on the many, many things that our wonderful town creates.

We kick-started the initiative by asking our incredible network of ambassadors for their feelings on what they think Glossop Creates! Our first round of posters included quotes from notable local people including arts, culture, food and drink maestro, Thom Hetherington, culture expert, Dr Virginia Tandy OBE, internationally renowned artist, Ghislaine Howard, actor Julie Hesmondhalgh and many more.

Now we want to know what YOU, our incredible community of creatives, think Glossop creates… from amazing eateries and great live music venues, to a passion for nature, grassroots makers and local legends – let us know your thoughts!

To submit your quote, click the button below, or email hello@glossopcreates.com with a short phrase (max 10 words) and a few words about your practice/business.
