Events with Fleet Arts

There are lots of exciting events with Fleet Arts this Spring and Summer!

Belper Arts Trail

Celebrate Community and the Environment with Fleet Arts, for the Belper Arts Trail. Be part of our installation outside St Peter’s Church, with these three opportunities:

  • Poet Tree: Please send one original poem on the theme of environment. Some will be printed and attached to trees and/or printed in the poet-tree booklet
  • Network: Please send three words that reflect what community means for you. These will be added to our 40m canopy suspended along the tree avenue
  • The Chariot of Unrelenting Joy: Let us know if you would like to use our Open Mic mini-stage to perform your work at the event within our installation

Bloomin’ Marvellous 2023

Art & Nature workshops in a lovely garden
Free for carers…no experience necessary

• Learn creative ideas to share at home
• Explore different natural & sensory art activities each week

King Street Parade

When: ram, Saturday 25th March, 2023
Where: Starting from Belper Memorial Gardens DE56 IPZ… down King Street.and back
What: A creative interpretation of a 100ft whale skeleton, made with different local groups and the general public.
Who: You! Come along, bring friends and just enjoy the spectacle!

Why: In 1800’s a loft whale skeleton was brought to Belper when the Circus came to town (apparently). So, we are promoting the Play ‘Captain Blood’s Singular Circus’ being performed the next week on 31st March & 1st April.
