We are really excited about this one as we know how popular politics is as a genre in Derby. And there has been no bigger political story in 2022.
Sebastian Payne: The Fall of Boris Johnson: The Full Story
Wednesday 21 December, 7.30pm
QUAD
Tickets: £12
The biggest political story of the year is surely the spectacular ending of Boris Johnson’s premiership and its dramatic fall out.
Sebastian Payne, Whitehall Editor for the Financial Times, tells the essential behind-the-scenes story, charting the series of scandals that felled Boris Johnson. With unparalleled access to those who were in the room when key decisions were made, this is a gripping and timely look at how poer is gained, wielded and lost in Britain today.
He will be in conversation with BBC Midlands Correspondent, Navtej Johal who has done so many excellent interviews with politicians (and others) at our festival.
It may not be a festive fare, but we think that you’ll be keen to pop this one in a few Christmas stockings.
