HOW WILL I BENEFIT FROM JOINING THIS COURSE?

By taking part in a course deliberately designed for a broad range of ages and experiences; where I will be able to learn at my own pace.

By being part of a group gathered from an international open call from different cultures, backgrounds, and environments. I can expect to be in a strong peer-to-peer learning environment.

By having the opportunity to present my latest research if I wish to do so.

By exploring principles that I can apply to my architectural practice within my own environment and culture; a series of concepts and attitudes that can be adapted to the heat or cold, to overcrowded or sparse populations, to drought or to spate.

By studying the unique history of Venice and the Venetian Lagoon, in order to propose new responses for regenerating and retrofitting architecture with a specific, protected, context.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

To Visit:
Organic Farms, Quarantine Islands, Secret Gardens, and the 2023 Biennale of Architecture.

To Research: International, cutting-edge academic papers on climate change, food production, soft transport, and the role of creativity and culture.

To Present: My own current research, a new project, in groups or individually.

To Evaluate: Urban contexts, changing climate, economic and financial factors, new solutions, and a new project.

To Socialize: On the Grand Canal with my peers and colleagues, in local restaurants and bars, in the classroom and out on the water.

To Learn: From internationally renowned professors and experts.

To Experience: New horizons and prospects, in this unique, beautiful historical city that is like no other on the planet…
