Long Description:

Are you interested in being at the centre of literary life in the East Midlands? Could you share your experience and skills with others? Are you interested in enabling access and opportunities through strategic leadership? Would you like the opportunity to attend a wide variety of events and see the impact WEM is having across the region?

If your answer is yes to any of these, you might want to consider becoming a Board member for Writing East Midlands (WEM). The current members come from a variety of backgrounds but have a common interest in literature and how writing can change people’s lives.

The organisation would benefit from your involvement outside of Board meetings – this might be attending a sub-committee, acting as a champion for a particular area of organisational development, supporting fundraising bids, or offering advice – within the understanding that Board members are busy people and need to fit this additional work alongside their personal and professional lives.
