September is here, and that means Melbourne Festival Art & Architecture Trail is near!

September is here and it is time for everyone to start planning their diaries now that the holidays are over. Look no further for ideas of what to do and where to go, simply head over to Melbourne in South Derbyshire on Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th September to get caught up in a whirlwind of creativity.

Over the past nineteen years Melbourne Festival has built a reputation as a key event in the East Midlands cultural calendar. This year 165 artists are exhibiting in 68  locations, it is a great opportunity to meet all the artists, find out how it is done and see inside some beautiful homes and gardens not normally open to the public.

Melbourne Festival is the next best thing; only half an hour from Derby, Nottingham or Leicester, park your car and everything slows down!  Pick up your Trail Guide and set off to explore Melbourne, with 133 listed buildings the village is an experience similar to walking onto the set of a period drama but for one weekend only you can enjoy great art in many of these amazing buildings and gardens including Melbourne Hall!
Follow the Trail Guide, or your instincts, around every corner you will spot more balloons highlighting the next group of artists showing everything from sculpture to jewellery, oil paintings, photographs, ceramics and glass. Along the Trail, there is fantastic food, a display of classic cars, live music at the Busk Stops and Family Fun at the Rectory with Make IT at Melbourne Festival drop in workshops, singing, dancing and poetry too.
Entry is £5 per adult (under 18’s) free.
Make a date for Melbourne Festival and come and join the Fun!
