Firstly, it’s started! The town is now full of marvellous artworks the windows of local businesses, there’s a Year of the Dragon vibe, and New Mills Festival is here! People are gathering to meet up, to walk together, to talk together, to listen together, run together, and laugh together.
This newsletter is mainly housekeeping. You know all those occasions over the past month where I’ve said something like “watch this space”, well, that’s where we are. I do have one or two pieces of exciting news to break this up, of course. Also, I’ve been asked to increase the font size of the newsletter, and I’m here for you. I have done a little tug of war with the software but am hoping this has worked.
POP UP NEW MILLS FESTIVAL HQ!
Youth Matters has loaned New Mills Festival their No 31 Union Road office for the period of the Festival. If the A Board is out, we’re open. We’ll be looking to staff this as much as humanly possible with volunteers, aiming at core hours between 10 am and 4 pm except on Mondays (when we like a rest). It’s a base where you will be able to buy tickets for events, or just come in and ask questions, and pick up a brochure. We look forward to seeing you.
