We are delighted to let you know that registration for Arts 4 Dementia Best Practice Conference 2021 ‘Arts for Brain Health: Social Prescribing as Peri-Diagnostic Practice for Dementia’ is now open and will take place from Thursday 20th – Friday 21st May 2021.
Hear how social prescribing can unlock access to re-energising arts and wellbeing activities at the onset of symptoms, and how engaging in weekly activity empowers individuals and their partners to preserve their brain health and override strain in the lonely fear-filled months leading to diagnosis and beyond.
The aim of the conference is to advance referral to social prescribing as natural GP practice on the point of referral to memory assessment.
Policy-makers, social reformers, primary care, academic specialists in brain health and dementia, and leaders in social prescribing, culture, health and wellbeing from around the UK will highlight cross-sector referral and funding partnership practice for sustainable social prescription programmes, present evidence for creative ageing, and debate the way forward.
