Nicola Midler – Arts Derbyshire Creative Health Producer

Nicola is an experienced and highly skilled arts education specialist, community arts manager, creative producer, and project manager. She joined Arts Derbyshire in December 2024. With a passion for the arts and a dedication to inclusivity, Nicola has established a successful track record of devising and delivering high-quality, engaging arts and educational events. These frequently involve multi-partnership projects, demonstrating her ability to work precisely to schedules and budgets.

Organised, self-motivated, and person-centred, Nicola possesses a friendly, open, honest, and collaborative nature. Her approach to arts and education emphasizes the importance of creating opportunities that are accessible to all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Nicola is also a qualified primary school teacher, bringing valuable experience in working with people of all ages and backgrounds. Her commitment to inclusivity in the arts is evident in her work with refugees and asylum seekers, neurodivergent children and adults, individuals with learning disabilities, people experiencing mental illnesses, people living with dementia, and people from diverse cultures and home countries.

Her expertise extends to end-to-end project management, encompassing everything from making funding applications to sourcing, contracting, and training artists, team members, and volunteers. Nicola specializes in education, collaboration, and co-creation, producing opportunities that engage, connect, and empower individuals and communities through creative engagement with artists and the broader arts and creativity sector.
