People’s Choice Award winner 2025.

Drumroll… the votes are in and we’re excited to announce the winner of the 2025 Public Open Exhibition People’s Choice Award – congratulations go to Juli Fejer for their piece ‘Walking with Trees’!

Painted on a circular canvas, the work reflects a moment of connection between humans and nature. You can spot tiny splashes of purple in the painting, which might be wildflowers, or a reference to the colour associated with fibromyalgia, a condition which Juli suffers from.

The People’s Choice Award, sponsored by Turners Arts Supplies, was voted on by the public both in our centre and online. Thank you to everyone who visited this years exhibition and voted for their favourite work.

*GLISTEN Fest?
GLISTEN Fest is our annual sensory festival for people with Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), their families, friends and carers. This year we have Drift, an interactive multi-sensory experience, and facilitated sessions to transport you through a world of light and sound around the theme of Starry nights! Booking required.
Robyn Rocket on residency.

We recently welcomed musician Robyn Rocket together with Cleo Savva on artist residency at LEVEL Centre.

Robyn is autistic. They play trumpet through guitar pedals (Space Trumpet). While in residence, they developed a Space Pod, an inclusive conscious portable space made to go to festivals and other places.

Inclusive conscious means to:

1 – look who isn’t in a space (this could be disabled people, people of a particular gender or age group etc)

2 – invite them in

3 – ask for feedback

4 – develop based on the feedback

We absolutely love what they created and the whole concept behind it. We can’t wait to see The Space Pod out and about helping everyone to make art, share space with others and have a good time!
