HPBC has approved a development plan to create a cultural strategy. This will be a year-long piece of work with community engagement and data gathering at its heart. By the end of the process, we will have a cultural strategy with a vision of how cultural life in the High Peak will look in 2030. We will also have an action plan to realise this vision.
The development plan is split into eight stages which you can read about on the Council’s website here.
There will be a number of events, consultations and opportunities to feed into the development process, however all other public work around the strategy is on hold until after the election (due to rules around pre-election sensitivity, or purdah). Joanne will send out more information as it is available.
If you have any questions, or anything you would like Joanne to add to the next update email please contact her at joanne.blunt@highpeak.gov.uk
