Dementia Friendly Film Screening of Grease at Loundsley Green Community Centre, 24th June

Come and join Chesterfield Borough Council’s latest dementia-friendly film at their wonderful new location.

Dementia friendly screenings aim to make cinema a key part of a dementia friendly community by providing an accessible, fun and inclusive experience.  This enables people living with dementia, their families and carers to attend the cinema in a safe and welcoming environment.

Our dementia friendly screenings feature:

  • Additional dementia friendly signage around the venue
  • No adverts, trailers or commercials
  • The lights are left on low and the sound levels reduced
  • Screenings are relaxed, with the audience encourage to sing, dance, move around and talk during the film
  • Additional wheelchair spaces are available
  • 15 minute interval
  • Staff and volunteers to assist you
  • The ticket price includes refreshments
  •        Doors at 1, film from 1.30, finish around 4pm.
