Curiosity Academy

We kicked off the school holidays with an awe-inspiring week of STEAM and heritage at our Curiosity Academy hosted by Creswell Crags. Participants explored creative writing, perfume making, game design and audio workshops, including making artwork speak via sensors and plants talk when touched!

Participants also visited Bletchley Park once the top-secret home of the WWII Codebreakers. During the week we were joined by guest speakers each inspiring participants with their knowledge and expertise.

An interactive exhibition at Creswell Crags will showcase the participants artwork in September. Dates to be confirmed.

Heritage Hack for Home-Educated families

Our third This Girl Codes Heritage hack lab was jammed packed with history, arts and creative tech. From guided cave tours, creative writing exercises, playing with app software to turn words into sigils and sigils into sounds – we explored both physical and digital art forms. Find out more here.
