The Steel Charitable Trust

The Steel Charitable Trust has five current funding priority categories: Arts & Heritage, Education, Environment, Health, and Social or Economic Disadvantage. Applications will be considered from charities, CICs and CIOs.

Applications must be for charitable purposes that fall into one of the five core categories below:

  • Arts and Heritage
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Health
  • Social or Economic Disadvantage

Grants are generally made as single payments between £2,500 and £25,000. In some cases, larger grants are awarded in instalments, payable over a period of years, usually on the condition that satisfactory progress reports are submitted at regular intervals.

Applicants may apply for support towards:

  • Capital projects
  • Specific projects
  • Research programmes
  • Core costs
