We’re applying to take part in the 2022 Big Give Christmas Challenge, the UK’s biggest online match funding campaign.

One donation, twice the impact! We’re raising funds for a new Sensory Arts Festival for people with Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities and Learning Disabilities. We’re looking for £1250 in promises of funding or ‘pledges’ (10 pledges of £100) by 2 Sept so we can move through to the next stage, where the pledges are used as match funds to double online donations.

Derby’s vibrant St George’s Day celebrations draw enthusiastic crowds

The legend of St George was brought to life on the streets of Derby at the weekend. Hundreds of people enjoyed the free St George’s Day celebrations held in the city centre. Ava Hunt Theatre Presents A SLIGHT ACHE

Artcore is offering a two-month local residency from May 10th to July 7th, with an opportunity to visit Osnabruck, Germany, for two weeks around late May to early June (dates TBC). This unique experience is open to two Derby-based artists interested in connecting with international artist communities and gaining insights from cross-cultural experiences.

On Monday April 29th Aurora Wellbeing Services will present an exhibition of works by participants of their Creative Health Programme, funded by UK Government Levelling Up Fund.

The exhibition showcases pieces from both their photography and ‘Identity and Loss’ workshops. With a mixture of experimental textile designs and photography, participants learned new skills, explored new techniques, and had their own individual experiences using creative practices to reflect on areas of their wellbeing.

The Importance of Being… Earnest? Coming to Derby

After a phenomenally critically acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe run in 2022, and previous London Fringe theatre success, the hugely popular ‘The Importance of Being… Earnest?’ is embarking on a UK tour, and will play Derby Theatre for two nights only on 28th and 29th May.

Looking For Me Friend: The Music of Victoria Wood coming to Buxton’s Pavilion Arts Centre on 10 May

Directed by multi-award-winning cabaret artist Sarah-Louise Young (An Evening Without Kate Bush), the show is filled with love, laughter and fabulous memories for Victoria Wood fans as well as the ultimate ‘beginner’s guide’ for audiences new to her work.
