DEFIBRILATOR FUNDING FOR COMMUNITY SPACES

The Department of Health and Social Care is inviting interested organisations to register expressions of interest for its £1m Community Automated External Defibrillators Fund, aimed at increasing the number of AEDs in public places where they are most needed and to help save lives.

To qualify you must:

  • Be based in England
  • Not be an organisation that is eligible for the Department of Education scheme e.g. a school or academy
  • Locate the secure defibrillator cabinet outside in an area that is accessible to members of the public 24 hours per day
  • Be able to provide an electrical power source to ensure the defibrillator cabinet light and heater operate to keep the device at the right temperature.

No deadline specified – the 100 fully funded applications will be selected by DHSC in mid October and shipped out in November.
