Vocal Technique Workshop with Hannah Brine – August 26th

Award winning choral conductor and singing coach Hannah Brine is offering a 1 day singing workshop for those interested in vocal techniques on Saturday August 26th, at St Oswalds Church,  Bollington.  Hannah has a wealth of experience in vocal coaching and performance – having sung for Disney, on Strictly Come Dancing and on a host of released songs, as well as having taught vocal technique at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, London.  More recently Hannah founded Bollington Singers Community Choir.
Hannah says;
““I decided to study vocal technique when I encountered voice problems, and didn’t know how to solve them. Often people think the voice is a fixed thing, but just like fitness, we can train our bodies to be more responsive and give us much more flexibility and control.”
This day is for anyone who would love to know how your voice works, and how to make singing easier & more reliable.  It will be packed with a variety of techniques to improve your singing, and to give you a range of solutions for common vocal problems, such as breath management, range, ‘power’, improving tone and colour, and switching genres.
I will give you practical exercises you can practice at home, meaning you can train your voice and feel the benefits for months and years to come.”
The day will run from 10.30am to 5pm with a break for lunch, and there will be opportunity to work with a pianist for the last section of the day so everyone has the chance to workshop an extract of a song. The cost is £75 per person, with a maximum of 10 singers.
