Local singers invited to join award winning conductors for singing retreat

Do you enjoy singing, and  want to immerse yourself in wonderful surroundings? Do you want to make music with a friendly and welcoming group of singers from all backgrounds? Then we would love for you to come along to Hannah Brine’s 11th Singing Retreat.
Led by conductor Hannah Brine and guest conductor Patrick Barrett, you will learn gorgeous songs in 3 and 4 (and sometimes more!) part harmony as well as meeting fun, like-minded people and indulging in delicious, hearty food. Music will range in style from traditional choral, to world, to folk, to pop – there will be something for everyone.
Hannah Brine says:
“ I am really excited to be going to Swanwick this year. We chose different spaces each year, to make new memories, but we have a lot of familiar faces , including the musical team of myself, Patrick Barrett and Ed Simpson, but new singers really add to the exciting mix. Making new friends and being in a beautiful environment is as much a part of the experience and discovering music together. This retreat is suitable for people with some choral background – we tend to use sheet music, though a lot of the singers ‘follow’ rather than sight read perfectly. “
“Hannah’s singing retreat is like nothing you’ve ever experienced before! A compact, intense treat of beautiful songs and awesome people, in a setting close to nature with the inspiration of fresh air and countryside. It’s an amazing way to re-set your soul and feel invigorated by learning wonderful music and singing together with special people.“Previous Retreat Participant
